IT'S TIME TO GIVE AWAY SOME MONEY!!!

 

The excitement here at our foundation is at a very high level.  This is the beginning of what will culminate is awarding two scholarships for $2,500 each to Catholic High School Seniors in New Jersey this Spring.  

The goal of our Foundation is to provide financial assistance, through scholarships, to the children of families who want a traditional Catholic School education.

All Seniors who graduate in 2020 are all eligible.  What the student must do is write an essay of 500 words or less describing why Catholic education is important and how it will help them moving forward in life.

$2,500 is nothing to sneeze at, pass the word to your students and get those essays in the mail.  We realize that the cost of college being what it is, relatively, we are talking about a small amount of money, but every bit helps. 

So get writing and get those essays in the mail!!!!

Joe Nolan's Half-a-Golf Outing A Total Success

By Staff October 10 Clark, NJ - It was a great day in Clark.  38 golfers played and nearly 50 people attended Joe Nolan’s “Half a Golf Outing” at Hyatt Hills in Clark October 10th.  The Winners were Kevin Mannion and his group from Mannion’s Irish Pub in Somerville.  With a low score of 30. 

Mark Montenero and his team at Autoland, Rt. 22 East in Springfield, N.J. donated a brand new 2019 Toyota Rav 4 for a lucky golfer to win with a hole in one on Hole Number 7.  This 187 yard par three over water bested all or our golfers and alas, the car went back to Autoland.  

Gifts from, Ferraro’s of Westfield, Marianne and Joe Nolan, Jim Sosinski, Manion’s Pub in Somerville, The Crab’s Claw in Lavallette, N.J. Internet Radio, 103 5 KTU, Pete Bessette and Lisa Reuter Dilts, Catherine Lombardi’s in New Brunswick, Williams Nursery, 16 Prospect, The New York Jets, Tix City, A Friend and Devils Legend Ken Daneyko.  The Tickey Tray was just terrific.  All donations were first rate.   

The event raised money for The Maureen E Nolan Foundation.  The Maureen E. Nolan Foundation which is the project of long time New York Radio Personality Joe Nolan and his family.  Named after Joe’s mom who was a Catholic school teacher at Holy Trinity School is Westfield, New Jersey for 18 years until her death in 1982.  The goal of the Foundation is to assist graduates of New Jersey Catholic High Schools with tuition to attend an accredited, 4 years, institution of higher learning.  In addition, we will also assist a graduate of Holy Trinity School in Westfield attend a Catholic High School of that student’s choice.

Joe's Second Annual “Half a Golf Outing” benefiting the Maureen E. Nolan Foundation, Thursday October 8, 2020 at Hyatt Hills Golf Complex in Clark, New Jersey.  Hyatt Hills is a two-minute drive from Exit 135 on the Garden State Parkway. 

The Maureen E Nolan Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity headed by The Nolan family along with some of New Jersey’s top business leaders. 

Maureen E. Nolan Announces the Awarding of Their First Scholarship to a Holy Trinity Student 

By Staff June 7 Westfield, N.J. - It is with great pride that The Maureen E. Nolan Foundation announces the awarding of their first Scholarship to a Holy Trinity School in Westfield student.  The primary task of the foundation is to provide scholarships to Catholic High School Seniors who are going onto college.  However, in Mrs. Nolan's honor and in her spirit of giving, we will be providing an annual award to one Holy Trinity School student each year where she taught for 18 years ending in 1982.  The eighth grader will be chosen each year by the schools staff and must be going onto a catholic high school in New Jersey.

    

It is our honor to announce that Sophia Salazar has been chosen to receive the very first scholarship from the Maureen E. Nolan Foundation.  The check for $500.00 was presented to Sophia by Miss Pat Byrne at Holy Trinity's Graduation ceremony last Friday.  Miss Byrne is a long time teacher at Holy Trinity and was a very close friend of Maureen Nolan.
